I am a biotechnology engineer with concentration in molecular biology, I obtained my degree at ITESM in Mexico. Nowadays, I am doing my Master’s degree in Quebec at UQTR with Isabel Desgagné-Penix as supervisor, working on The Characterization of Vanillin Synthase in a model diatom.
I am expected to do a fast-track transfer to PhD to work on Transcriptomics of engineered microalgae, eventhough the program is in molecular and cellular biology, I will do the analysis of my data.
I am doing the annotation and assembly of the transcriptome of Leucojum aestivum. Additionally, I have worked with metagenomics data to assign taxonomy to microbial populations from environmental samples in Mexico, analyzing differential compositions depending on crop and developmental stage.
